As Sean eloquently observes, Digg is way less useful than Slashdot, because it dispenses with any editorial work whatsoever and relies soley on the alleged wisdom of the crowds.Slashdot, with a combination of old-fashioned editorial and mass-moderation, produces a higher signal-to-noise ratio. And that ain’t sayin much.
